MEALS ON WHEELS
Meals on wheels is a meal delivery service offered to those who would benefit from having healthy, prepared meals brought to them on a recurring basis. We offer hot meal deliveries twice per week and frozen meals once per month. more info
Friendly, skilled volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to provide safe, escorted rides for appointments, errands or a day out. Individuals who qualify for this service are responsible for incurred expenses of the volunteer driver. more info
FOOT FIX - FOOT CARE CLINICS
Foot health is important to your general wellbeing. Proactive foot care keeps you upright! Book an appointment at our foot care clinic, Foot Fix. Our staff of professional foot care nurses can take care of your tender tootsies. Nail trimming, foot assessments, ingrown toenail care, diabetic foot care, corn & callous care to name a few. Looking for stress relief, try a reflexology treatment. For those looking for pampering only, we also offer pedicures and manicures from a certified esthetician at Foot Fix. more info
Friendly support offered through conversation and companionship in your own home. Our visiting program is offered by a trained PSW or volunteer depending on the client need. Sometimes it is nice to enjoy a cup of tea and conversation, connecting you to your community. Relationships matter! Caring is healthy. Call our office to arrange a visit.
SECURITY and REASSURANCE
Would you like to receive a friendly call from one of our volunteers each weekday morning? Our callers have your safety and security in mind. RUOK is a great way to stay connected and reassured.
CRISIS ALERT DEVICE
Crisis Alert is a reliable, easy-to-use personal emergency device, it can be activated to get help the moment you need it, 24/7. You choose a necklace or wristband with emergency button for your use. No contracts and no set up fees, just one low monthly fee. Nexicom crisis alert device uses a land line phone system for emergency access. Call our office to get set up. more info
A free monthly group setting lunch in Coe Hill and Bancroft.
Get your mojo on and get walking. Our indoor walking club allows you to walk the halls of our local high school. Program runs October thru to April. SMART exercise program runs twice per week and is part of the healthy bodies, healthy minds initiative.
Government, medical forms and other documents can be a challenge to complete. Our friendly staff is here to help you.
INCOME TAX CLINIC
Our annual Income Tax Clinic, by appointment, is offered to assist seniors and individuals with modest income complete and file their current year income tax returns. Volunteers are trained by the Canada Revenue Agency.
DROP IN & OUTREACH
Home visits and assessments are available, or drop into the office any time for a chat and coffee.
Audio CD recording of the local newspaper is provided to those with visual impairments. Volunteers dictate the local newspapers once weekly as well as short stories, magazines recipe books. A CD is then prepared and mailed to you. This service is free. Enjoy listening!
COE HILL COMMUNITY THRIFT SHOP
Local thrift shop run by volunteers, all proceeds support area seniors. Trinkets, treasures and clothing are always welcomed and available for sale. more info
